Note that the ‘independent’ investigator starts by acknowledging that there is really no good reason to be interviewing John Bailey as he has no useful information to give on the allegations.
I’ll mostly let you read this for yourself, but I did find the suggestions that:
1. I was out of my depth in understanding the Railway;
2. the WSR plc was in any was committed to the Bailey process, especially given JJP’s reaction to the suggestion of a Community Interest Company;
3. that we were prepared to ‘sacrifice’ the Steam Trust; and adopted a ‘needs must’ / Trojan Horse approach (I’d love to see the evidence for this.);
are just laughable.
The proof of the pudding is in a railway that has, 4 years later, taken no step towards becoming a charitable body, is barely covering its operating costs and is generating nothing for investment.
